Served as Assistant Division Commander, overseeing homeland security, dignitary protection, organized crime, intelligence (monitoring social media/dark web threats) and combating human trafficking. Instructed police officers on proper interaction with citizens regarding search, seizure and the Second Amendment right of citizens to lawfully carry firearms, openly or concealed. First Tucson PD AZPOST certified female law enforcement firearms instructor, advised law enforcement leadership on critical firearms issues. Trained many women and men on selection, safe operation and marksmanship with handguns for personal safety. Currently lead pistol instructor for NRA Adventure Camp, training 13-17 year olds. NRA certified pistol instructor, NRA range safety officer. Serves on NRA Law Enforcement Assistance and Hearings Committees.
